RAANS MANOR FIRST MENTIONED 1235 (JOHN DE RAN ORRANE), EARLIEST NAMED MANOR IN AMERSHAM (B2). MANOR HOUSE REBUILT BY PROBY FAMILY 1540 (01), NOW MANOR IS SIMPLY A FARM (B1).
MANORIAL HISTORY DETAILED (B2,B4).
SITE LIES 1 3/4 MILES NE OF AMERSHAM. NOTE ALSO BARN WITH ARCHED FLOOR (B7).
