Full description

EDMUND EARL OF CORNWALL APPEARS TO HAVE RESIDED AT HAMBLEDEN MANOR HOUSE WHERE HE BUILT AN ORATORY IN OR BEFORE 1296 WITHOUT LICENCE FROM THE BISHOP, WHO SUSPENDED IT, BUT LATER ISSUED A LICENCE. CHAPEL APPEARS TO BE THAT GRANTED IN 1579 AS THE LATE FREE CHAPEL CALLED MORE CHAPEL.(BI1)
