BARTONS HOSPITAL, FOUNDED 1431 BY JOHN BARTON TO KEEP HIS OBIT (B1) (IE, ASSOCIATED WITH A CHANTRY? JPP). CHANTRY SUPPRESSED C16; HOSPITAL REMAINS, AS ALMSHOUSES (1862) (B2). PRESENT BUILDING (1913) MODERN, BUT THERE IS A STONE RESET IN WALL, READS 'ALMSHOUSES REBUILT 1701'. 100YDS S OF CHURCH (B3) JPP.
