AMONG MATERIAL FROM OLD ?MANOR HOUSE (01:000) WERE ROMAN BRICKBATS, PROB. REUSED FROM NEARBY ROMAN HOUSE (B1).
FORMER GARDENER AT POYNATTS HOUSE FOUND NO ROMAN MATERIAL (B2).
LOCAL RESIDENT FOUND POTTERY & STRUCTURAL REMAINS IN PLOUGHED FIELD IN SKIRMETT AS A BOY C.1912. SHOWED THEM TO A H COCKS (B4).
