PHOTOS TAKEN BY TOM CLARK IN AUGUST 1995 SHOW PARCHMARKS OF ROAD CROSSING MEADOW IN A NE-SW DIRECTION (NGR1-2 ABOVE), LEADING TO A FORD ACROSS THE MISBOURNE RECENTLY REPLACED BY FARM BRIDGE. DIGGING INTO PARCHMARK HE FOUND 3-4 INCH COBBLES AT DEPTH OF C. 1FT, METALLING - HENCE ROMAN? (PHOTOS, FILED) (B23).
